| 2004-2005 National Invitation Tournament |
| The Tigers played 3 home games en route to their third trip in 5 years to the NIT finals in New York's Madison Square Garden. Memphis defeated Northeastern, old Metro Conference rival Virginia Tech, and Vanderbilt of the SEC before making the trip to New York. Jeremy Hunt's torn ACL in the Vanderbilt game proved to be a major blow to the Tigers as they struggled on the offensive end and finished their season with a 70-58 loss to Saint Joseph's. | ||||
