1955-1956 NCAA Tournament
Coach Eugene Lambert took the Tigers to their second straight NCAA tournament appearance in the 1955-1956 season. The Tigers lost to Oklahoma City that year in the first round as Memphis was forced to play without four starters (Forest Arnold, Win Wilfong, Ken Caldwell, and Orby Arnold) because of NCAA rules on freshmen and four-year men.
